Neighbors are being offered again – after the production company failed to agree with the new deal with Amazon.
Dear Australian Strallian soap will stop production this summer, the final episode will be transmitted at the end of the year, the sun can declare exclusively.
It has been only two years since Amazon brought Amazon soap back to life after 37 years of channel 5.
Amazon announced at the end of 2022 that it would bring back the iconic program in a multi-year deal.
The final episode of soap saw the favorite return of the emotional goodbye of Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue and Guy Pierce.
But months later, Amazon gave the show a lifeline and brought it back to life with a revised product.
He started shooting in 2023 and was shown on Amazon Frevy worldwide.
However, last year the Amazon service was given an ax and closed it in its Prime video streaming fur.
And now, after two years of streaming, the show will end once again.
The sun can specially declare that Amazon has told Freemental that his adventure in soap has not worked and they are pulling funds.
A source said: “Amazon gave two years to see if he works, but unfortunately they did not meet the audience.
“It’s really a sad day for cast and crew, especially in Melbourne.
“This is really the end of the neighbors as it celebrates the 40th birthday.”
It is not known whether the cast and crew have been told about development.
The regeneration was nominated last year for the best Detime Drama Series for its first two Amy Awards and the best guest performance for cow piers.
Neighbors were first shown in 1986 in BBC 1 after a year of its Australian Strallion debut.
Two years later, about 20 million viewers from the UK, and Charlene, played by Kylie, two years later to see Scott played by Jason Donovan.
Amazon has been contacted for comment.
Neighbors ax is a warning to all other soap
Karl Greenwood, editor of the sun’s soap, says why soap fans should be very nervous about Amazon Exing neighbors.
The neighbors were shocked by the TV industry in the resurrection 2022 when Amazon leaned to save soap.
After 37 years he became more and more expensive and hostile TV industry while Channel 5 drew the plug.
The budget was out of control and there was a M5 million hole in production costs which could not justify the UK channel costs.
Now it seems that Amazon, a multi-billion dollar company has learned the same lesson.
Spirilling costs make it more difficult – especially soap that produces a large amount of episodes – to continue.
If Amazon is also struggling with the mountains of his money – what is the hope for the rest of the industry?
Soap fans should be incredibly concerned about the crisis that made their favorite show an envelope.
Hollyox has already reduced its episode by 40 percent, now transmitted only three times per week.
ITV has decided to cut an episode in weeks of Ammardel and Coronation Street, starting next year.
The only one who looks safe is its significant license fee money -budgeted Eastenders – but in this economy, how long will it last?
One thing is clear – the industry will have to hold on to this crisis as there is no big money streamer to save the day.
