The Indian Super League (ISL) lost 0-1 against Turkmenistan’s FC Arcadag in the first phase of their AFC Challenge League quarter-final match in Kolkata on Wednesday. Yazgilvisi Gurbano scored all the important goals in the 10th minute in Vivekananda Yuba Bharti Krirangan. The Red and Gold Brigade will now travel to Turkmenistan for the second leg match on March 12.
East Bengal qualified for the third level of men’s AFC club competition on the basis of winning 2024 super cups.
The SC Skare Brewzon-Coach took the top spot in Group A with seven points on the Indian side while Arcadag won Group B with six points.
