Volkswagen has announced two major car features that they are planning to upgrade – to keep drivers happy.
German giants earlier this week’s annual operating pattern profit reduced by 15% year-rate-rate-citing “extraordinary costs” associated with their restructuring strategy.
The company declined by 3.5.5% in the vehicle sales in 2024 – pointing to the “challenging environment” of the year.
Next year, they faced some challenges, including rising competition, volatile commodity prices and rules regarding emissions.
Talking to CNBC’s Anet Vicebach, VW Chief Financial Officer Arno Antlitz said the company was not “happy” with its current performance.
He also mentioned two issues that the company should do to keep its customers satisfied.
He said: “We have Porsche, Lamborghini, Volkswagen – we have great products, and we have globally.
“And with these prerequisites, we must be able to do more.”
Antlitz added that 2025 Outlook “gives a mirror to the company and industry in a challenging, competitive environment, but also in transit.”
“We have to keep our combustion engine car competitive for our customers.
“We have to invest significantly in electrification, digitalization.
“We do the EV ramp up, we ramp up the Software Ftware.
“So this initiative, they weigh on our financial [goals] In 2025, but we should be given a televind for 2026 and above. “
The company’s moving strategy is to maintain its 25% market share in Europe, maintain its stake in China, and increase its presence in the United States.
Like most of the Auto Tomakers around the world, VW also keeps in mind the tariff of President Donald Trump, though he believes it is very early to say how his performance can be affected.
Antlitz said: “We are a global company. We choose for open MarketsI’m sure you can imagine what you think of a tariff.
“What can I say we already feel like an American company – we run a huge factory in Tennessee’s Chatnuga.
“We employ thousands of people Focuswagon The group of America.
“We make thousands of Service In South Carolina for Scout. So we are already an all-American company, and we are in the US. We want to grow in “
VW also recently announced that they are planning to bring back physical buttons to their cars, away from the recent trend to use sliders and touchscreen toggles.
In recent years, the car has become more and more tech-rich, and many brands have faced criticism for their overwhelming dependence on attractive new technology.
Often, consumers greatly prefer traditional physical controls to adjust things like climate control.
Recently, Andreas Mind, head of Auto Tomakar’s design, said the company “will never make this mistake” – because they promise to bring physical restrictions together.
These will include restrictions for volume, heating, fan speed and hazard light activation, which is located below the touchscreen of all cars – which starts with next year’s ID2L.
