President Trump on Friday signed a business order to exclude a professional that he says that the public service is busy with “subsidizing illegal activities” from the loan waiver program (PSLF).
The executive order states that “persons operating by organizations whose activities have significant illegal purpose will not be eligible for public service loan waiver.”
PSLF is a student loan program that allows forgiveness of debt after a continuous payment of 10 years, with non -profit, with non -profit, in government positions like police or teachers.
The executive order writes, “Instead of eliminating workers’ shortage in the necessary businesses, the PSLF program has misinterpreted tax dollars in activist organizations that not only fail to serve public interest, but actually harm our national security and American values, sometimes by criminal,” executive orders.
Order directs to limit the qualification of the program for nonprofit positions. It works to redefine the term “public service” to the newly confirmed Education Secretary Linda McMohan, which has “significant illegal purpose”, which helps to violate federal immigration law, as well as other issues, as well as supporting terrorism and child abuse.
Trump’s employee said that the “problem” with the loan program is that some nonprofit employees work in organizations “who are illegally linked, or what we would consider to support inappropriate activities, for example, illegal immigration or foreign terrorist organizations or otherwise law breaking activities.”
“This executive order will basically change the program and the treasury department to make sure that people who are engaged in such activities will not be able to benefit from the program, which is not really intended to support those things.”
The PSLF began in 2007 under the college cost reduction and the Access Case Act. More than one million OROWA borrowers have been forgiven by the program.
PSLF changes because OROW’s borrower could not accuse applications for income-based payment methods as they have been temporarily taken by the Department of Education.
It’s a Complete 180 for OROWA BEAIRS From the Biden Administration, which gave a record number of student loan waiver, including PSLF.
“The previous administration had misused the PSLF program through a waiver process, the use of taxpayer funds is still far from years away from years,” Trump wrote in a Friday order.
