A paralyzed man can choose things and thank his mind completely controlled robotic hand.
Groundbreaking technology worked for a seven -month record with the need for any adjustments – unlike the same devices that only work a day or two.
A paralyzed man was unable to move or speak after a stroke many years ago.
But the University of California Vijay .NoCo San Francisco used brain transplants with AI that enable it to imagine movements.
Small sensors on its brain surface are detected brain activity.
Can hold hands, move and leave Drop Burgets.
“This combination of studying between humans and AI is the next stage for these brain-computer interfaces,” the professor said. Karunesh GangulyNeurologist UCSF.
“We are the same to achieve a sophisticated, lifelong task.“
In footage released by the university, it shows the man’s robotic hand capable of catching a plastic cup and putting it under a drink dispenser.
For now, the hand moves very slowly.
But it is likely to be a life changer for those paralyzed so they can feed themselves or get a drink.
“I am very confident that we have now learned how to create a system, and we can do this,” Ganguly added.
Alon Musk’s neuralink company is working on the same technology.
A video recently released by the company appeared to show robotic hand participating writing.
The first human patient, Neural’s first human patient, used the technology to control the mouse cursor on his laptop and play Mario cart on his laptop.
The University of California San Francisco was published in the Cell Journal.
What is a neuralank?
Here’s what you need to know …
- Neuralink is a project intended to embed computer chips in people’s minds
- The idea is to give humans with hyper-intellect by merging with artificial intelligence
- Small threads than human hair will pump information in your Nogin
- It will work a little like an internet cable, transmit data at faster
- Along with making us clever, the project promises us to merge from a computer and phone
- That means you can control your gizmos from your brain
- Neuralink billionaire entrepreneur is bankroled by Alon Musk
- He said earlier that tech could save us from the future machine rebellion
