More than 1000 visits have been made in the UK’s first safe drug consumption facility, as new figures have been released.
Glasgow City Council confirmed that 143 people have visited Thistle a total of 1,067 times Since it opened on Monday 13 January.
The figures cover the first seven weeks of its operation until Sunday 2 March.

The local authority said that the nursing staff at the center monitors more than 700 injection episodes – people were injecting cocaine, heroin or both.
The council said that “these few occasions” have been operated on “a number of medical emergency” with the support of the Scottish Ambulance Service required.
Those involved in the crisis were said to have been recovered and “more damage and support” was given from the thistle team.
The figures were released in front of the MPs of Westminster’s Scottish Affairs Committee on Wednesday.
City Convener Councilor Allen Kasey for Addiction Services said: “We really enjoy how things go on at this early stage.
“Thistle is a new service, which is specific to Scotland. He assures to know how well he is going on and the population he hopes.
“The team has saved life and in the first seven weeks we have helped more people than expected.
“Thistle does not deny how much a difference is for those who use it
“Life has been saved, people who have been marginalized and far from support are associated with employees and the initial response of service users and huge partners is positive.”

Safe Drug Usage Facility (SDCF) Hunter Street Health Center is located and is open for 365 days from 9am to 9pm in that year.

The national record of Mourning Showed that there were total 1,172 deaths due to drug abuse in 2023 – An increase of 121 (12%) last year.
Hopefully, the center addict will help reduce the risk of a bloody virus (BBV) like HIV, as well as to improve their life.
More updates about the facility’s work will be given to the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board, which also has an independent assessment.
“It is very early for SNP as a silver bullet of the crisis of Scotland’s drugs for SNP,” said MSP A Wells, a Scottish Conservative Shadow Minister of Drugs and Alcohol.
“Peel the spin and provide less strict evidence on being a life-long sport-conscience.
“SNP ministers cannot trust Thistle because of the only reconciliation of Scotland’s drug epidemic.
“They are committed to investing in the rehabilitation, and will give everyone back to our redecovery procurement bill to guarantee the right to treat their addiction.”
