A former imprisoned officer who bragged a sex act on a prisoner who was “tricked”.
The 26-year-old Mother-of-one Katie Evans jumped into tears in the court because the judge described how “corrupt” by “experienced criminal” shortly after she started working in the doncaster jail when she was only 21.
With the prisoner starting an intimate relationship, Daniel Brownli, Evans had more than 140 phone calls with him, moved money around the bank accounts, and provided information on the prison, the court heard.
The court heard that Brownli was jailed in 2016 to handle robbery, burglary and stolen goods.
“It seems that you are busy with some form of sexual activity in jail. It is described that on one occasion you had oral sex with him,” Judge Jeremy Richardson KC told Evans at the Sheffield Crown Court.
“It is a really terrible situation to be sentenced to a former jail officer for a jail officer to be branded to a corrupt jail officer.”
Judge Richardson told Evans that “he corrupted you and not the opposite”, added: “I am completely satisfied that you were manipulated by an experienced offender to help him.”
He said Evans was “young and immature” at that time but added: “Your misconduct physically affected the imprisonment and discipline.”
“You were inexperienced and immature but that is, however, there is no excuse for what you did.”

A man was sentenced to life for the murder of son’s girlfriend
Judge Richardson said that the sentence of 21 months should be long but, “as an act of kindness”, he reduced it, considering Evans’ relationship with his young daughter and the influence on the influence of jail in prison as a former officer.
Hatfield, Doncaster’s Evans, accepted the misconduct in the public Office Fissure at the previous hearing.
Still crying, she hoisted family members in the public gallery because she was led by a dock.
