Finally a successor is named for Lester Holt, who will leave NBC Knightly News a decade later.
Tom Lalamas, currently a senior national correspondent from NBC News, will fill the shoes of Holt this summer.
During a press conference on Trump’s donation to P TE groups, Lalamas collided with Donald Trump eight years ago in May 2016.
At that time, Lalamas was working for ABC as the weekend anchor of ABC World News Tonight for ABC.
The journalist questioned the contradictory reports on the money raised by the then President candidate Trump at the television event.

Lester Holt announced that he would leave the role of Knightly News as anchor and managing editor, but Lalamas has played a new role after his full-time role as anchor for the datline.
Holt, who has been with the network since 2000, has more hope for Lalamas and staff after its departure.

“Lester Holt is a great man and is the most trusted broadcasters of our time,” Lalamas said.
