Vashington Shington:
The US President Donald Trump’s administration and Ukraine plans to sign many controversial minerals deals following the devastating Oval Office Fissure meeting on Friday, in which Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky was fired from the building, four familiar on Tuesday.
President Donald Trump has told his advisers that he wanted to announce an agreement to the Congress on Tuesday evening, three sources said the deal was signed and the situation could change.
The White House did not immediately respond to the comment request.
The Ukrainian presidential administration and the Ukrainian embassy in Kiev did not respond to the comments immediately in Vashington Shington.
The deal was held on Friday following the controversial oval Office Fissure meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Wolyodemir Zelensky, which resulted in a faster departure from the Ukrainian leader’s White House. Zelensky traveled to Washington to sign the deal.
At that meeting, Trump and Vice President JD Vensi set up Zelensky, telling him that the U.S. Instead of asking for extra assistance against the media, he should thank the US.
“You are gambling with World War II,” Trump said.
US officials have talked about signing minerals deals despite Friday’s blow to Kiev officials in recent days, and urged Zelensky’s advisers to openly apologize to the President of the Ukrainian President.
On Tuesday, Zelensky posted on X that Ukraine was ready to sign the deal and called Oval Office Fissure meeting “regret”.
“Our meeting in Washington Shington at the White House on Friday was not considered,” Zelensky said in his position. “Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiation table as soon as possible to bring closer peace.”
It is not clear whether the deal has changed. The deals that were to be signed last week did not include any clear security guarantee for Ukraine but from the natural resources of Ukraine. The Ukrainian government also imagined 50% of the future monetization of any state-owned natural resources in the US-Ukrain-managed reconstruction funds.
On Monday, Trump hinted that his administration was open to signing the deal, and told reporters in a gaggle that Ukraine “should be more admirable.”
“This country is stuck with them by thick and thin,” Trump said. “We have given them a lot more than Europe, and Europe must have given more than us.”
