US President Donald Trump said he wanted to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran and sent a letter to his leadership on Thursday that he hoped that he would agree to talk.
“I said I hope you are going to negotiate, as it would be very good for Iran,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business Network on Friday.
“I think they want to get that letter. Another option is that we have to do something, because you can’t let another nuclear weapon.”
The letter was found to be addressed to Iran’s highest leader Ayatullah Ali Khamni. The White House did not immediately respond to the request about it.
