The State of Atlantic Coast Conference, Clamson and Florida has approved Colony It will end their legal battles, replace the league’s income-distribution model, and improve long-term costs to leave conference for school.
Clemon and FSU trustees signed in to the deal at meetings on Tuesday. It happened shortly after the Director Board of the University’s President and Chancellors, the person familiar with the situation said on condition of anonymity because the league and schools did not address the settlement at that time.
Most notably, the revenue-distribution model will now include a TV viewership as a way to generate more income for the top programs of the league. It also provides clarity on the league exit fee and grant-rights agreement that runs by ACC’s TV deal with ESPN by 2036.
Specifically, during the introduction of Clamson’s trustees, the slideshow reported that the exit fee would be $ 165 million for the 2026 fiscal, but would face $ 18 million per year until the 2030-31 seasons reached about $ 75 million. When the grant-rights contract gives league control at the school’s media rights, the deal will allow the school to exit with its media rights after paying exit fees, according to the presentation.
This agreement offers a measure of stability for the league in the coming years, however, despite the long -term risk of teams making potential teams in the last years of the current media deal in the time of rapid changes to the college landscape.

“We made some commitments 14 months ago to make sure we can do everything in our power to compete at the highest level, and I think we did it here.”
