Ruud Van Nestelrooy has revealed if he regrets accepting the manager’s job offer at Leicester City amid the team’s disappointing results throughout this season.
The Manchester United icon left his role as a janitor coach in Old Trafford and joined Foxes in late November last year, succeeding Steve Cooper, who was fired after only 12 league games.
Initially, the 48 -year -old legend arrived as an Erik Ten Hag assistant, but saw a promotion to a provisional role after the Dutch was fired in October.
It was thought that the Dutchman would remain in the technical team under the new manager Ruben Amorim, but the Portuguese decided that there was no room for the former United Actant.
Amorim supports a challenging season in Manchester, while Van Nastelrooy’s side is currently in a five -game sequence.
However, in an interview with Sky sports On Thursday, the Dutch icon revealed that he does not regret in charge of Leicester’s managerial role.

“For me, I accepted the challenge with the preparations I took and knowing what I know now, I would still have done that.” I like the process, ” said Van Nestelrooy.

‘Everything has to be perfect to get some impulse and I believe we are working for it.

Currently, the Foxes are 19th in the Premier League table, with 17 points after only four wins and five draws this season.
Just a week ago, Van NistelroOy criticized Leicester’s passive performance against West Ham United on London Stadium in a game that ended with another 2-0 loss.
“I think it’s something in the short time here that I had to learn, dealing with the loss of games and becoming resilient to look at the team, looking at the process,” he added.
“Of course the result is one, but take a look at the process and what we are doing and how we are improving and it helps me continue.”
