- West Ham Slin for a 1-0 loss at home thanks to Bruno Guimaraes, 63rd minute, Gol
- But West Ham’s chief, Graham Potter, believes the referee should have given a lack
- Listen now: it’s all starting! With Premier League probably securing five points of the Champions League, are we rewarding mediocrity?
Graham Potter took over Bruno Guimaraes’s goal with West Ham manager Adamant, that Newcastle’s winner should have been discarded because Max Kilman was overthrown on the accumulation.
The Brazilian’s goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win for the magpies, which sends them to the sixth on the table and looking for a place in the Champions League.
However, the goal could – and according to Potter, should have been discarded by a lack of Alexander Isak.
While Harvey Barnes’s cross floated in the box, Isak seemed to push Kilman on his back as the ball floated over the West Ham defender and entered the way to Guimaraes.
“I thought it was a really committed performance of us,” said Potter.
‘We started the game very well, we started the second half very well. The game decreased and flowed, it was a very tight game

West Ham Manager, Graham Potter
“We are disappointed with the goal because it seems that there are two hands on the back of our center back. You can see from the reaction of the player they think could have been a foul.
So, I feel for the players because they absolutely gave everything, a committed performance.
Potter and West Ham will have a chance to leave this disappointment behind when they travel to Everton for Saturday’s Premier League departure.
