- Liverpool took a crush and grab the PSG in the Champions League

Liverpool chief Arne Slot admitted that Liverpool went up to PSG on Wednesday, but they were widely responsible for their own luck this season.
Paris Saint-Germain had a good value for a two or three goals win in the first leg of the Champions League last 16, but ended up with nothing after Harvey Elliott scored his first touch after coming as a substitute.
The Reds had only two shots at night, while their hosts had 27 and 71 % of the ball, but an inspired display of goalkeeper Alisson Becker helped keep them away.
“We didn’t go a little (lucky), we had a lot, very lucky!” Slot said on Friday at his press conference before the confrontation of Saturday Premier League with Southampton.
“But, as Michael Jordan said, the more you work, the biggest luck you have.”
Slot was also asked if Liverpool was lucky this season in general, something that the fans of his rivals said.
Arne Slot responded to the allegations that his team was lucky at Friday’s press conference

Slot used a quote from Michael Jordan to insist that luck is largely the result of hard work
“If you think the injuries are just luck or bad luck, we were lucky, but we tried to stop them in a certain way of working,” he replied.
“So we didn’t have many injuries, I don’t see it like luck.”
The Dutch also asked players and fans to bring the saints’ visit as a World Cup final.
A victory would see his team to 16 points, with Arsenal visiting Manchester United on Sunday.
Most see the game against the lower flight of the first flight as a formality, with much of the focus in the second leg of next week with the PSG and Carabao Cup final against Newcastle.
“For me, against Southampton is by far the most important,” said Slot.
“I have to convince my players that we play three finals and I hope I influence our fans to understand how important they will be.

Slot invited players and fans to treat Saturday’s game in Anfield as a World Cup
“I hope they don’t get into the stadium five minutes before the beginning, I hope the stadium is full of half an hour before, so that these players get the reward for what they did in Paris.
“I know the final is there and everyone is already talking to me about how the atmosphere will be on a Champions League night, but I really hope our fans will be higher tomorrow.”
