Mohamed Salah seemed to be sure that Liverpool was not breaking the rules when a little known replacement rule came into play during the victory over Southampton.
The Reds launched 3-1 winners about the highlighted saints of relegation on Saturday, with Salah bagging two of the place to help guide Liverpool to a return victory.
With the result practically sealed, Arne Slot’s side seemed to make a late replacement, which was the sixth of the game – one more than the usual five that are attributed.
Liverpool fans have suggested that Salah tried to frantically prevent a sixth substitute from being madepotentially fearing a downtime for a rule violation.
However, Liverpool was indeed allowed to make a sixth replacement due to an incident that occurred at the beginning of the game.
Jan Bednarek was forced out in the first half after a head injury with Southampton using a substitute for concussion.

Salah’s potential fears were calmed with Liverpool having the ability to make a sixth change

They can be made outside their five standard changes, according to Premier League rules – a law introduced in 2021 to encourage teams not to take risks by dealing with possible concussions.
It also allows for extra change to the opposition – which means that when Bednarek made the way, Liverpool now had six replacement to play instead of five.
Apparently this change in the rules book was without Salah’s knowledge, which seemed to be desperate not to allow his side to do what he considered to be an expensive mistake.
Only after referee Lewis Smith explained that no irregularity was being made, Salah allowed the late change, who saw Jarell Quansah to Trent Alexander-Arnold on 89 minutes.
Salah’s confusion has evoked a warm reaction from Liverpool’s faithful, with a fan writing on Reddit: ‘Salah will not let us stop us from winning the PL’.
While Liverpool came out victorious against the Premier League resident punching bag, it was not all that is a soft sailboat, as Southampton led on the edge of the break – it will capitalize a small picture in a lack of communication between Alisson and Virgil Van Dijk before entering home.
His advantage lasted only six minutes after the restart, however, with Darwin Nunez firing home to draw.
Uruguay beat Liverpool a penalty moments later, which Salah converted calmly.
