Ex -sports director of Man United, Dan Ashworth, is being aligned by a Premier League club three months after leaving Old Trafford.
The 54-year-old man was abruptly arrested by Man United in December and was taken to the Newcastle United club just five months before a decision that cost the club 4.1 million pounds.
Mail Sport revealed that co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe was frustrated by what was seen as Ashworth’s indecision, particularly with regard to a definitive plan on the future of previous manager Erik Ten Hag and the potential successor of the Dutch.
Ashworth works at Warwickshire Cricket Club in recent weeks, advising performance strategy in a voluntary and unpaid capacity.
And now Brighton’s former Technical Director is being persuaded back to football, according to Soccer inside.
They are reporting that West Ham are talking to Ashworth as an attempt to fill the hole left by technical director Tim Steidten, who left last month.

Steidten was held responsible for the club’s summer transfer negotiations that saw West Ham play almost 130 million pounds in new signings.
Ashworth’s nomination at West Ham UNARIA with manager Graham Potter, with whom he worked as successfully to establish Brighton as a Premier League club.
It was a complicated season for Hammers who fired Julen Lopetegui as manager in January, who won only six of his 20 Premier League games and left the club 14th at the table.
He was replaced by Potter, who had a slow beginning of life in eastern London and the club is, in fact, a lower place in 15th. However, performances and results have increased in recent weeks, with Hammers enjoying consecutive arsenal victories and then Leicester.
